What does the NSN do and why should a neuropathy patient or medical provider donate to the NSN?
- Operating two major neurologist websites loaded with neurologist reviewed information from unique perspective of the patient’s practical point of view.
- Sending out free copies of the NSN DVD “Coping with Chronic Neuropathy” endorsed by four medical experts and recommended by thousands of patients worldwide.
- Responding daily to neuropathy patient questions with personal information to educate, inform, support, and empower. Since 2009 the NSN has responded to over 70,000 individual requests for help, support and information!
- Helping neuropathy patients in over 41 countries outside of the U.S.
- Building and providing free local support group personalized websites for support group leaders to market their group in their local area.
- Building tools to educate and inform medical professionals of the important facts of the diagnosis and treatment of the Peripheral Neuropathies.
Why do we not charge anything for what we do?
- Some patients really could not pay as they may be on Medicaid, or have little left even for food. If this is your case, we say, God bless, please take care of yourself and family. We want it to be free to you with our blessings.
The Neuropathy Support Network is unique for it is patient focused and patient sponsored.
- We cannot afford TV ADS and the NSN does not hammer people with mass mailings for donations with repeated E Mails or phone calls.
- We send out an annual appeal ONCE a year.
- But what does it cost to do what we do every year?
- Our cost in 2015 was $22,110 to operate a tax exempt corporation even with volunteers!
Contributing Members donate on a regular monthly or annual basis which is very helpful for budgeting. If every member gave a contributing membership of $20 or more a month, we would meet all our expenses!
